PMK GRUPO – Kofferraum Organizer Auto Zubehör | Auto Organizer Kofferraumtasche Wasserfest Faltbar und Verstellbar – Orange (WHL #116)

Super quick update from my quest of finding a suitable car trunk organizer: I got a pair of “PMK GRUPO” branded units, and while I very much doubt the claim of them being waterproof, I think I might settle with these and add reinforced plastic bags or similar storage as needed during the trip.

That’s the one (mostly marketing images for today!) – bought for 13.95€ a piece in orange, also available in gray and purple for that price, or one Euro cheaper in all black. Currently the colored ones are on Black Friday sale at 9.95€ – and the Black one isn’t

Anyway, sizing works reasonably well for a Tesla Model S trunk, two of these connected with the latches on their short sides do fit the entire trunk width with ~5cm spacing in between. […]

K KNODEL Kofferraum Organizer, klappbarer Kofferraum-Speicher, Automobilkonsolen und Organizer, Kofferraumspeicherorganizer mit verstärkten Griffe (Mittelgroß, Schwarz) (T021-A) (WHL #115)

While we’re at the somewhat non-technical side of things, let’s quickly talk about trunk (boot) organizers. My old Model S has a spacious trunk at around 750 liters, plus 900 liters with folded back seats, plus another 150 liters in the frunk. Drawbacks include a slight necking at the back seats where the wheel well protrudes; at that point, the trunk width is only 95 to 100cm, compared to up to 140cm at the very end. It’s also a hatchback, which means general access is super easy, but with the aerodynamic tear-drop shape, it’s not that tall for the most part. […]

eSUN 3D Printer Flexible TPE 83A Filament 1.75mm Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05mm 1KG (2.2 LBS) Spool 3D Printing Material (WHL #103)

Printer filament. Well, not directly, but in a way.

I guess this could also be a rant since it’s not about the filament itself, but more an issue of packaging. This concerns eSun, which I avoid because of this, but for this very filament, I needed to buy eSun.

eSun makes TPU (they call it TPE, same thing really) filament in 83A shore hardness. I don’t think anyone else does, and very few do similar materials, especially in the 1.75mm DIY filament diameter and not for industrial use in the 3mm realm. The smaller the number, the softer the material is. […]

Dreame W10 mop pad drill adapter (#P44)

Super quick and silly STL file for today: Don’t you hate it when your round mopping pads for the Dreame W10 (/Pro) cleaning robot are still dripping wet after the robot “dries” them by spinning them around for a bit? Don’t you think the automatic air dry function where it blows warm air over it, wasting 50 Watts of power for literal hours, is the most infuriating quirk of the entire system?
Don’t you worry any longer! Spin it yourself! Dry it with the power of the over-9000-RPMs! :D

In all seriousness, the warm air dry function is a joke and not being able to deactivate it completely is the single most annoying thing of their stupid software. […]

Ancient Sunlu PLA+ yellow (WHL #90)

After all that Geeetech bashing, here’s something for you, Sunlu fanbois! Sunlu PLA+ yellow!

Dammit, spoiled the results already…

Okay, here’s the deal: That stuff was given to me by a colleague who told me this is the worst printer filament he has ever laid eyes on. It’s stringing a gram of material for every gram of material printed. And I said: OK… (challenge accepted!)

The very same guy also gave me one of those half-kg spools of TPU quite a while ago and said it’s difficult to print and doesn’t look all that nice. […]
