10 Posts, and I haven’t overtaken Dave Jones in popularity yet. I’m clearly doing something wrong! Maybe I should change something…what about “let’s not complain”…for today? ;)

Really, I cannot gripe about today’s review item even though it actually is pretty far away from advertised. I have ordered a set of 0805 SMD resistors via AliExpress for the extremely high price of 3.87 Euros including shipping (that was actually back in January 2016 – stuff piles up!).

Sure, entire reels of 0805 resistors cost measly 10 Euros for 5000 pieces (1%), that’s next to nothing per unit. […]

Today’s item is one that I needed for my smallish light box. I had some makeshift connections when building it, including one with a fixed 65 W (original!) Lenovo laptop power supply who unfortunately had a loose power plug. When I finally had three illuminated sides up (with the stuff from WHL #7), I knew I needed to step up to 90 W or even 135 W power supplies for full brightness. 3W High Power E27 Warm White Focus 3 LED Spot Lamp Energy Saving 165-245V (WHL #8)

Slightly aged review item today! :)

Last week, an E27 LED light bulb died. I bought it back in September 2012 for 2.58 GBP on eBay and got a full refund at that time because it was neither “3W” nor “Warm White”, so I decided to use it in a bedside lamp which isn’t in use much at all. Now, 4 years or let’s say 300 hours of operation later, it showed a nasty 50 Hz mains flickering and I decided to replace it with a 3W quality German brand lamp for… 2.59 Euros. LEDs really have entered the mainstream!

Now back to the Wan Hung Lo lamp. […]
