USB detector 3.0 High voltage 4 bit OLED QC 2.0 Digital detector voltmeter ammeter voltage current power capacity tester meter (WHL #17)

New at Wan Hung Lo:

…wait, what?

(I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to find my address if you want to, just making it a little harder for google to index it as an image…)

So, what is it actually? Sure, it’s the USB power meter from the blog title. Who would have thought!
Bloody kids with USB 3 toys! Back in my days, we had…umm, good old RS-232

I bought this one month ago at AliExpress for 8,61€ including shipping. As you can see, they decided to use some tracked mailing instead of the “ah, no worries” cheapo variant. […]

Müller Licht 5.5W/220-240V/50Hz/38mA/470lm/2700K/dimmable/E14 EB1500665 40036 (WHL #12F1)

Another one bites the dust :suspect:

Three months after the failed E14 LED light bulb in WHL #12, the second unit (out of four) died. It came back to life a few times (a few seconds each), and I reckon now the magic smoke has finally escaped.

All of the remaining bulbs show this distinct yellow shading on the diffusion globe. The replacement one still looks white, like shown in the previous post. But this one clearly failed…look at it, I think it sneezed one single LED off the board. Bless you! […]

USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type A Male M-M Coupler Adapter Gender Changer Connector Pro New (WHL #16)

…also sold as Blue USB 3.0 A Male to Male Extension Converter Adapter USB Connector Gender Changer Coupler For Pc Laptop and tons of other variations.

Remember the USB 3.0 keystone module from WHL #13? Yep, it can get worse than that.

I’ve always kept USB gender changers handy to connect weird and wonderful combinations of devices, including measurement contraptions e.g. for current tests. With the advent of USB 3.0 (with classic A plugs, I don’t have any USB type-C devices yet), I needed to slowly upgrade my gear to do such measurements in USB 3 mode. […]

20cm 8″ inch ATX 4 Pin Male to 4Pin Female PC CPU Power Supply Extension Cable Cord Connector Adapter (WHL #14F1 – first follow-up)

Triple-follow-up to the WHL #14 article about the 4-Pin extension cables for desktop computer mainboards.

Since publishing the article, I managed to order two more cables from CHAINA, two different sellers, with very similar product description. At the end of January, both have arrived and have been tested immediately.
Aaand, what do you know, both were the very same make as already shown in #14. Both failed with clouds of smoke when putting 5 amps or more on them, and of course I started disputes for both of them (one pending, one resulted in a quick refund). […]
